dial up with fatal error

The new dialer returns with “Fatal signal 11” after dialing and created
connection.

pppd Started

Using interface ppp0
Connect:ppp0<->/dev/ser1
Fatal signal 11
PPD connection closed

The dialing before update to 6.1 was running.

I have the exact same problem too. It seems like pppd doesn’t do PAP/CHAP
authentification properly. Try manual (or ‘interactive’, as phdialer calls
it) login. It’s a bit old-fashioned but it works for me.

Uros

Or get a new pppd.

  1. be root.

  2. Download http://staff.qnx.com/~xtang/repository/pppd

  3. copy it to /usr/sbin/

  4. chmod a+x,u+s /usr/sbin/pppd

  5. chown root.bin /usr/sbin/pppd

-xtang
