DMA and simq_timer/ata_sart_ccb bootup messages

I have QNX 6.1 windows install on a 540MB PIO3 hd (master on 2nd IDE)
and windows on a 2.5GB EIDE DMA (not Ultra). I always start QNX with
DMA support, and get these messages after the IDE detection:
simq_timer: building abort ccb
ata_start_ccb: func 10

BTW, does anyone knows how to speed up the QNX loading process?
Anything about disabling IDE autodetection, an other stuff to get to
login even faster?

TIA

Hi Carlos,

You can get the bootup going faster by building your own boot images.
Check out www.qnxstart.com and ask on the forums there. Someone has
made a page with a bunch of examples or a good howto. You can also
check out the docs on building embedded systems for pointers on how
to get the system started faster.

Thank you much!
Anyway, what about that messages on startup?
Another two questions: 1) On verbose mode (F6) I can see:
… SoundBlaster not detected
… ISA Plug&Play … (Function not implemented)
I can hear any mp3, mpeg video sound (and guess wav, but I’m not
shure).

  1. The shutdown proccess waits a lot for devb-fdc to end. When I slay
it down before shutting down, it goes very fast, since there’s no
waiting for this to close. Is it a problem with my system or an
    issue/bug?

Thanks again,
