QSSL,
enum-ser and enum-par don’t have ‘safety valves’ on them to
abort when there is a problem with the port.
I had issues with both serial ports on wrong addresses and
parallel ports. The enum-devices bootup just ‘hangs’ and you
have to bring it up Verbose/Verbose to find it then exclude
the legacy devices and/or isapnp and/or pci to get the
system booted. Omitting any of these create problems…
Could you please add it to the “wish” list for a safety bailout?
Thanks,
Jay
Hi Jay,
I am going to submit a bug on this, but before I do, what
version of the OS are you running?
Thanks
Erick.
