Embedding on X86

We have been trying to embed RTP onto an Arcom single board computer. But
Arcom won’t upgrade to 6.1. (They claim that QSSL charges too much.) There
support ends with 6.0 and they don’t seem very interested in continuing
support with that either.

I was looking on your web page for other board support packages that QSSL
recommends for RTP. And while X86 IS mentioned on the first page, on the
second page where you itemize the BSPs available there are no X86 boards
listed.

IS this an oversight? Or am I missing something?

Are there any X86 recommended SBC?

Hi Bill,

Since x86 covers sooo many boards and is pretty good
at compatibility I don’t think a specific one is
really nessisary, I could be wrong, but this is
a guess as to why there isn’t a specific one for x86.

So with the example startup and ipl for the x86 that
comes with the bsp, you should have enough to get
things going and customize it to your needs.

Take care!

Erick.

Well, I understand what you are saying but . . .

We are trying to use a SBC that “claims” to be compatable with RTP. But now
they (Arcom) is telling us that they won’t upgrade to 6.1. So, it would be
nice is there was a place where we can look for vendors that ARE willing to
support QNX 6.1.

I.e. You just can’t believe everything you read.

True

Well, did you check the 3rd Party section on our website?

I did a quick search and found the following:

http://partners.qnx.com/vendors/results.qnx?os=XXX&product=XXX&category=XXX&keyword=Single+Board+Computer&Search=Search

Perhaps one of those would be a good start for you.

Take care!

Erick.
