On my system devb-eide dies when I attempt to access files in /VIDEO_TS/
directory on DVD-Video disk. I simply open FileManager,
expand /, /fs, /cd1, and when I expand VIDEO_TS it dies! This is VERY
annoying, since I do not know how to restart devb-eide. It happens in
both DMA and non-DMA mode.
Here is my configuration:
Motherboard: Intel AL440, PII,
two fujitsu harddrives,
DVD drive: Ricoh9060A
CDROM: Mitsumi something.
Video: radeon VE,
Sound: Sound Blaster
Please help me to resolve this problem. Thanks, Slava

Note that if it’s an encrypted DVD (most moives are ) I think you wouldn’t
be allow
to read the files anyway.

This sounds like an fs-cd bug (faking up inode numbers based on a
files physical disk location, and getting caught by sign extension
on larger CDs/DVDs). This is fixed for 6.1.1.
