ipl files in /boot/sys

Can someone explain the difference between the following ipl files
found in /boot/sys…under what circumstances they would be used…
etc…

ipl-diskpc1
ipl-diskpc1-flop
ipl-diskpc2
ipl-diskpc2-flop
ipl-lilo
ipl-rpx-lite
ipl-sc400_ext
ipl-walnut
ipl-win95

These 2 are primary boot loaders (installed by fdisk), sits on
the first block of the hard drive.

ipl-diskpc1
ipl-diskpc1-flop

These 2 are secondary boot loaders (installed by dinit), sits
on the first block of the partition.

ipl-diskpc2
ipl-diskpc2-flop

These loaders are to be used when different primary loaders are used.

ipl-lilo
ipl-win95

These ones are for custom boards, and if you don’t recognize the name then
you probably don’t need them.

ipl-rpx-lite
ipl-sc400_ext
ipl-walnut
