Hi everyone, I’d like some help getting round a really annoying
problem in QNX 6.1.0/6.1.0A.
The symptom is this:
When using the devg-tnt.so driver with my GeForce2 GTS card, web pages
are not displayed in my browsers. The page is downloaded and the
application is obviously going through the motions, but the display
area of the browser is not updated. This happens with Voyager, Opera
and Mozilla. When using the vesa driver instead, the updating works
fine, but performance suffers greatly, which is to be expected.
I have tried the latest experimental driver from the QDN, but no dice,
though the readme suggests it may address a similar problem.
Just to complete the picture, this is QNX 6.1.0 (latest updates
applied) running on an Athlon 1.4GHz Thunderbird + A-bit KG7-Lite
motherboard and a GeForce2 GTS 64MB graphics card.
As a side note, QNX will also not boot from the hard disk, hanging at
the detection of EIDE devices. It boot fine from CD though, which is a
minor inconvenience.
Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.
P.S. Until recently, I thought I was the only person to have
experienced this, but I’ve just had an e-mail from another user with
the same symptoms, although I don’t yet know his hardware config.
Apologies if I’m asking about something that has been covered before,
but I’ve gone back through the last 3,000 messages or so and I can’t
find a thread that may address the issue.
