setting up file permissions in qnx networking

Hello,

In QNX 6.1 Qnetworking, I want to give file access permissions for some
folders, so as to avoid others from accessing my folders throught QNX 6.1
Qnetworking.
I am having problem in setting the access permissions for the folders.

Could anybody help me in how to change the file access permissions for the
folders in qnx networking.

Thanks

Prabha

No you can not.

The File (including Folder) permission are shared cross the network.
That’s the basic concept of QNET (unite machines on the network as
if there is only one machine with distributed CPUs and Memories).
Even though some people don’t agree with this

FYI: The QNET in new beta will have a option “maproot=” and
an option “mapany=” which will do a root squash (or map any
incomming uid) just as NFS doing.
