newbie question - about users

Hello,

I’ve just installed QNX-RTP and i would like to know how do I have to do to
set up new users??? For now I can only log under “root”! (Fortunately i
tried linux before without this i couldn’t ever enter in QNx ;op)

By the way, where can i find another web browser? i tried to download opera
for QNX but it seems not to be installed…

“passwd username” will set up a new user if username doesn’t exist.

isn’t it a problem??? if someone try to log and enter a wrong password for a
user, will this user be registered once again???
or if the pwd is correct and not the username, i suppose it will register a
new user… i think it’s stupid! Or i didn’t understood anything :astonished:)))))

No. Login as root and type

use passwd

in order to see details.

You have to be root to be able to create user.
