Upgrade to 6.2 ?

Is it possible to upgrade to QNX 6.2 from 6.1 without having to reinstall
everything? I don’t see any option in the start up menu when the QNX 6.2 is
booted from the CD.

Thanks

Sreekanth

I Don’t think so… Anyway fresh install only takes 2 minutes…

Huh?

What about user files (/home), 3rd party programs, config files etc?

I, for one, like to keep a separate partition for /home and then a backup
script that archives my config files, etc. That way I can hose my system
and reinstall to the same state very quickly.

I for one like to keep my own modified install scripts for 3rd party
programs, adding users, setting up home directories, etc… This makes
system reinstallation and upgrading very simple and quick. The tar utility
is really handy also. You also need a way to get the backups off the disk
(NFS, FTP, Samba, etc…) or as Kris said a separate partition is an
excellent idea.

What about photon files?
It seems that desktop config files (at least) are not compatible.
