Dual head display driver?

Any progress being made on drivers for dual displays, either using cards
that have two outputs (like the matrox) or using two cards?

We are eagerly awaiting this.

Hi Art,

Which version of the OS are you running? Dual display is already supported
using 2 cards for QNX6.1 or greater, on
a lot of chipsets. Did you have a particular chipsets in mind?

We are currently working on dual display using a single card on ATI Radeon
and Matrox G450/550. It should be available in a future
release.

Regards,

Joe

I’m running 6.2NC. Please post which cards will work in dual configuration,
and any specifics. Thanks!

Hi Art,

We don’t have a specific list available, but a few types of chipsets
that have been known to work include:

ATI Rage128
ATI RagePro
ATI Radeon
3df Voodoo3/Banshee
TVIA Cyberpro 5000
TVIA Cyberpro 5300

Many other cards should work, but it may be necessary to use an
unaccelerated generic driver.

Regards,

Joe

Is is possible for someone to update
http://www.qnx.com/support/sd_bok/solution.qnx?10445
with anything needed?

The dual monitor is very important for our applications. This is one
feature built into W2k that we are jealous over.
