libxml.so

I really need it. Can I find it somewhere?

Thanks a lot
Alain.

Ah…we only ship the static version. I can mention it to the builders and
see if they can include a shared version.
I think we’d then need a shared version of libtexpat as well. Perhaps we
might be able to build a one-off and give it to you if it’s too late to add
the shared version to the next release.

cheers,

Kris

Please can QSSL decide whether to officially offer XML support or not. It is
obvious that XML is used extensively for configuration files, although some
of them don’t seem to be ‘well formed’.

I have used the expat shared library that comes on the CD by downloading the
header file from Sourceforge, but it would be better if it was also included
on the CD. What is ‘texpat’? Is it universally available or a QSSL special?
Are there any docs for this and/or libxml?

Just a nudge to get you off the fence…

Jim

Yoou should!
I still don’t understand why all libs are not supplied in shared version!

Thanks,
Alain.

We’ve frozen our CVS for the next release so it may be too late for them to
put it in. I spoke to the builders and they’ll see what they can do but no
promises. If they don’t manage to get them in, give me a ping after 6.2.1
comes out, I’ll make sure to post an “engineering release, use at your own
risk” build for you to use.

cheers,

Kris

Thanks a lot Kris

Most likely an oversight …
