snmp

What state is the tate of snmp support in QNX. Any experience with it?

We are having good success with the SNMP++ and AGENT++ libraries (see
www.agentpp.com).

There was a small amount of porting work to be done but we now have them
working under both QNX6 and (with somewhat reduced functionality) QNX4. If
you get stuck with the porting to QNX we can probably help you out.

These libraries are free for non-commercial use or US$450 for a full site
license. They require C++.

There is writen in a documentation, that QNX6 includes EMANATE port of snmp.
I have read some article about, that implementation in QNX does not support
custom MIBs.
Is that true for QNX6.21?

It is true that QNX6 “out of the box” has no mechanism to support custom
MIBs.

It does have a standard snmpd which provides basic information according to
RFC1213 etc.

Hi Jiri,

We also have a EMANATE SDK which is available at an additional cost. Contact
your sales rep for details.
