fs-cifs options

I’ve started using CIFS to mount files from an XP computer. I’ve noticed my
syslog file is getting clobbered with fs-cifs messages.

A small sample follows:

May 07 14:08:11 nto fs-cifs: smb connection successful dialect 2
May 07 14:08:11 nto fs-cifs: logging Administrator on 192.168.2.1
May 07 14:08:11 nto fs-cifs: returning: mid 73 status= 5
May 07 14:08:11 nto fs-cifs: smb_logon: Input/output error
May 07 14:08:11 nto fs-cifs: smb_retry: now reset=1, err=3
May 07 14:08:12 nto fs-cifs: sending nb session request –
192.168.2.1:OEM-U9FR1
6TR3OS → qnxservo
May 07 14:08:12 nto fs-cifs: negotiating smb dialect
May 07 14:08:12 nto fs-cifs: skey(idx=2): 0 0 0 0, enlen: 8, 7c eb 24 d b4
b7 cd
a2

Is there any way to make the fs-cifs daemon less verbose? I’ve started it
with defaults, as in
fs-cifs &

Thanks,
David Kuechenmeister

Fixed. Thanks for your information.
At this moment, instead of using mount, you can run fs-cifs by passing
information through command line.

Thanks for the reply, but I don’t understand what command-line information
will make fs-cifs more terse.
