Serial Port not able to communicate

I am having a board which is having 2 serial ports . When i boot QNX 6.2.1
from my HD the devc-ser8250 driver is running (i could see it when i do
pidin),also under /dev ser1 & ser2 is listed.

But when i connect a Null Modem Cable & communicate to other PC thro
qtalk, The system hangs.
If i connect the serial Mouse & boot in Photon the sytem will not boot at
all.
What could be the reason

TIA
sam

It is a problem with tinit. I ran into the same issue a few months ago. I
already reported it to QNX. Maybe you can report it also and mention that I
reported it too.

I think that tinit -p (this is done when booting into photon) does not call
/etc/config/ttys.

Cheers,
Freddy

Thks for the info. But my problem was different
But my problem was that in BIOS Setup both Com1 & Com2 had same
address(3f8), after changing com2 address to 2f8, the problem was solved
for communication over serial PortBut if i connect only Serial mouse Ph
will not recognise. But if i connect ps2 & Serial mouse it will recognise
both
