Hi All,
I successfully installed 6.2.1 on a Dell Inspiron 8500. However, the floppy
disk drive is not detected (there is no /dev/fd0).
The floppy drive is contained in a pluggable module, which fits into a
socket in the laptop that can also accept a spare battery, or a CD drive. If
I replace the floppy module with the CD module, the CD module is detected
and works fine.
Can anyone advise how I can enable QNX to see the floppy drive module?
Thanks.

You may have to manually run the floppy driver, devb-fdc, as I don’t
think it is run by default.

Since it finds the cd that you plug into that port, it could be that your floppy
is getting registered as a eide device and could appear as /dev/hd1.
