How to adjust screen contrast for touchscreen ( carrol )

Hi, All,

Does some one know how to adjust screen contrast for a touch screen (
carrol )
from coding ( programmatically )?

Tanks in advance.

Hi WeiBing,

The touch screen itself actually doesn’t have a contrast/brigtness feature
to it, where as the CRT/flat pannel monitor that it is attached to will,
and this is almost always done via hardware and user I/O and (as far as
I have seen) cannot be done via software. Sorry.

Usually, a operator in a mining field has a sun glass ( shade ) and needs us
to
adjust contrast or brightness of the screen.

In your QNX drivers for touch screens (Input), there are no any APIs or
options
to control screen’s contrast, brightness, horizontal or vertical center or
size, etc. like
CRT monitors??

I would be surprised if you would be able to see a flat panel screen
outside in a field application at all regardless of contrast and
brightness settings. unfortunately one of the drawback to flat panel
displays is that they are not particularly bright. we ran into this
problem when trying to find displays for use in aircraft cockpits. we
finally had to abandon LCD technology in favor of MUCH brighter FED
displays.
