I upgraded from the private beta patch A to the public beta patch A, and in
the process all of my file permissions were trashed. I have fixed almost
everything, but shelf still won’t run as a normal user (it runs fine as
root). I have not been able to figure out which file shelf is having
problems with (I fixed the perms of everything under $HOME/.ph, so it
doesn’t appear to be there).
Any ideas ?
I can send a .dmp if required…

A dump file might be helpful.
Just for kicks. try moving your .ph dir to .ph.bak and starting photon. This
will isolate whether or not the format of the config file is causing the crash.

Didn’t work. I have tried twice to post a reply with a dump file
attachment, and that is failing (perhaps inn.qnx.com doesn’t allow > 2MB
attachments). I will ftp to my quics account, if you would like to take a
look at it.
