Voodoo Banshee Card (ELSA Victory2) does not boot photon and

Hello

I downloaded the uptodate QNXRTP.exe packet for windows and installed it on
my mashine. When I try to boot the qnxrtp it hangs when trying to start the
x-server. What can I do about this? Does anyone know some help? When I try
it in safe mode the system boots but when I than type ph the same problem
appears again. Do I need to load the right driver package? And how does this
work??

first some more information for you when I run crttrap qnx returns no such
file or directory (something like /system/…/graphic-modes), AND at
startup it says reserve RMEM failed, Range check failed(IO)-dev 571-Vend
1106-class 1018a-addr ffa0-size 10; what does this mean??

second I downloaded the script from your homepage but now I dont know how to
run it! I copied it to a floppydisk but I dont know the command line
parameters to get access to the floppy and how to run your script and save
the output file.

Once again.
I have managed to mount the floppy and I tried to run your script but now it
returns cannot run script permission denied!!! Although I am logged in as
root!!
What can I do???

Change the permission of the script to be user-executable by doing the following:

chmod u+x grafxscript.rtp

Then you should be able to run it by typing grafxscript.rtp

/etc/system/config/graphics-modelist, could you
boot into text mode and run

crttrap -VV trap

I typed crttrap -VV trap, but counld not read any output because the screen
either turned black or it had white vertical bars on it both with a blinking
cursor in the lower left corner.
Whats that?

Hi Jan,

That doesn’t seem right, can you download patch B and upgrade the system.

To get into Photon to upgrade, edit your /etc/system/config/graphics-traplist
and remove your banshee line. Start Photon, you should be running the
VESA driver now. Then startup the package manager and select the WWW
repository.
