I use Phindows 1.20 and QNX RTP Patch B. I have some problems:
If minimizing and then maximizing phindows, the shelf and task bar moves to
the left / upper part instead of the correct right and lower part of the
screen. I believe this has been reported before.
I cannot use the nice background image, it displays black. I use a background pattern
intead. It works, but I rather have the nice image with the RTP logo…
The shelf bug has been reported before. It is supposed to be fixed. If you reconfigure the shelf after you resize the window it should re-organize the shelf correctly. As for the background, increase your ram cache before you start the Phindows session (it’s in the lower left hand corner) and that should fix that problem.
Thanks

Regarding the shelf, I just turn off the “Shelf is open” option in setup for
both the bottom and right shelf and that solves the problem. As long
as you can live with “autohide” type shelves.
Regarding the image, would the ram cache also explain why GIF images are all
black when you view them with Image Viewer?
I increased my cache to 8 MB but that didn’t seem to solve the problem.
Should I increased it even more?

Thanks, the increased RAM cache solved the background image problem. The shelf I find very difficult
to re-organize. N.b.: I do not resize Phindows window, just minimize and maximize it. After that it’s almost
impossible to reconfigure the app shelf. I try to adjust it with the mouse. Then it disappears.
Then, using the shelf config app: If I configure it to the left it occupies the whole screen horizontally,
if I put in in the right it seems to get outside the visible part of the screen. If I configure it to auto-appear,
the same happens.
I now finally found a working method: deselect “Shelf is open” and deselect “Auto show”. Then a few pixels
wide edge of the shelf get visible and I can resize it with the mouse. Works until I minimize Phindows again…

Switch console , CTRL-ALT-1 then CTRL-ALT-2 then back to CTRL-ALT1 and
shelf and lauch bar will be at the proper location.
