I have spoken to the developer and you could use
PtForwardWindowEvent() has the advantage that it can be called from an
app that doesn’t own the window – the owner of the window doesn’t need
to cooperate or even realize why it’s getting focus. But the other app
still needs to know the window’s rid from somewhere, and he’ll need to
have either some communication mechanism or some code to traverse the
region hierarchy and find the right rid.
The same would go for PtForwareWindowTaskEvent but again you would need
to find the process id for that window.
