PtTrend(s) in PtScrollContainer & 6.1

I have a Photon project containing multiple PtTrend widgets in a
PtScrollContainer, prior to installing 6.1 the trends all worked except that
when the container was scrolled the blits were performed outside of the
scroll region.

I was told this was a known bug and is fixed in the 6.1 release.

I’ve completely removed the prior installation and installed 6.1 afresh.
The same project has been reloaded and compiled. Now none of the trends
work, the first trend does appear to be doing something however only about
10% of it is moving and that isn’t in the correct area.

It seems someone has a sense of humour.

6.1 has some really nice features and looks even better than before, however
it does seem to have gone backwards in some areas too, I’ve been using this
version for only a few hours and already I’ve found that the keyboard isn’t
mapped correctly in terminal windows, something that worked before and I
cannot modify DNS entries in the network settings, this also worked before.

Regards,
Simon

Hi Simon,

Unfortunately there were more problems found with the PtTrend widget.
I have spoken with one of the developers and the bugs are being fixed.
The fixes will be included in a future patch to 6.1.

Sorry for the mistake.
Regards
Brenda

Hi Brenda,

Thank you, however IMHO the PtScrollContainer looks like it also has some
bugs. Try creating a Scroll Container in Photon which is has a large area
off the display, then using the Position Vertical property set the offset to
about half of the Scroll Containers Max Vert.

Copying and Cutting widgets from the Scroll Container works, Pasting them
back in does not place the widgets in the correct location, the vertical
offset has not been applied. This is more noticable when attempting to drag
select items in a scroll container, if the vertical offset is 0 all works
fine, with the offset set the dragged area cannot be used.

I suspect that the my report on the PtTrend issue is related to the Scroll
Container offsets not being applied to child widgets like PtTrend and hence
it blits to the wrong area.

Simon
