Difference between Eclipse for QNX and IDE in Momentics PE

What is the difference between the Eclipse for QNX
(dowloadable from www.eclipse.org) and IDE delivered with
Momentics PE ?

I have not tried the Eclipse myself, that is why I ask (if
it is worth downloading, installing on QNX 6.2 - Momentcis NC
and hacking).

Thanks,

Martin

The “baseline” Eclipse download includes Java development, Plugin Development
(for extending Eclipse itself), and CVS based source control. Anything else
is provided by the company extending the platform.

Are you saying it doens’t support C even as syntax highlighting or anything?

Correct. The baseline download from eclipse.org has no concept of anything
besides Java.

Is that configurable or does it require a plugin of some sort?

There is a C Development Toolkit (CDT), that is downloadable from the

Eclipse projects page.

It understands C, is aimed at Linux software development, but should be more
or less usable
within an QNX environment (although I never used it beyond syntax
highlighting as of yet).
