pb with font server

On a new target, I use qnxbase.qfs, fs-pkg, etc…

I want to start the font server to prevent connection error 13 in
phditto,ok.

When I try to start phfont, it complains about phfontphf which doesn’t
exist. I don’t have this file anywhere, all my nodes uses phfontpfr. Why
this one wants phfontphf ???

If I try to start phfontFF or phfontFA, I get a memory fault.

Any idea??

Thanks,
Alain.

Do you have phfont.ini in your font_repository?
How are you trying to start phfontFF/phfontFA?
These have to be started as root.

Do you have phfont.ini in your font_repository?

Yes, there is a phfont.ini ith the following lines:

[PHF]
phfontFA
[PFR]
phfontFA
[TTF]
phfontFA
[ALL]
phfontFA

and also fontdir, fontext, fontmap,… everything you can found in
qnxbase.qfs.

my environment vars is:
PHOTON=/usr/photon
PHFONT=/dev/phfont

How are you trying to start phfontFF/phfontFA?

Yes I tried both of them and I get a memory fault in ksh and

segmentation violation in bash!

These have to be started as root.

that’s what I do.

Regards.

Thanks.

What parameters do you pass to phfontFF/phfontFA?
I agree that the servers should not fault, but you
need to pass paramenters to it I believe. phfont
has to be in the same directory as phfontFA/phfontFF
if you use phfont. Example: phfont -d /usr/photon/font_repository -s300K -j &
