Adding a .PHF font.

I’m trying to add helv12b.phf from 4.25 to 6.2. and I can’t
get the font to show up in fontadmin.

What do you mean? If you copy the font to /usr/photon/font_repository, it will be installed.
fontadmin is not the same as fontcfg for any stretch of the imagination. The first
tab of fontadmin is for mappings, not installation. When you restart the system,
the font file will be appended to /etc/system/config/font-traplist, thus permanately being
installed.

If you want to use the Helvetica PHF font instead of the mapping, it should automatically
occur when you have copied the font. Run ped, and try and select Helvetica 12 bold, and
it should change. If all else fails, install the font legacy package.
