QRTP PCI resource manager code offered

I have written a couple of PCI drivers for internal use, and would like
to offer them to others as both working examples of PCI drivers and to
actually use (beware they were written hurredly by a PCI newby…)
I was thinking of an open source effort where as improvements are made
they are in turn published and all will benefit.

One is for a Datum Bancomm bc635pci time and frequency processor and the
other is for an Acromag APC8620 IP carrier board with IP220 D/A and
IP470 DIO industry pack modules. I’ve already given the bc635pci driver
code to Bancomm, who make the cards, and asked them to request that
anyone who modifies it give us the changes. They plan to offer it to
people who use QRTP.

How do I do this? Is there a site, like sourceforge, that anyone
recommends? I obviously can’t send everyone a tar of the whole thing.

By offer, I mean free, as in GPL.

Hi,

it’s great that you want to publish your device drivers.
Can I get your examples?

Bye,
Georg

The manager code is useful to run the bc635pci, and an example of one way to
use the PCI system API. Note I did not say the best, or recommended, since it
is my first try at doing PCI work, and my first QRTP resource menager. But it
might help someone to get off the ground, and hopefully establish dialog on
this subject.

I’d appreciate any feedback, like improved ways of writing the code, mistakes,
suggestions, etc.

I’ve placed the code on my personal web site, since JHU/APL has no provisions
for publishing it. It is in gzipped, tar format, and you unzip it, untar it,
and do a make.
