Go to qnx.com and follow the instructions to download a 60-day trial, burn the ISO you get to a CD and boot from it on your laptop (might need to change a BIOS setting to do this, so watch out for a notice when you laptop starts up saying ‘press F12/Delete/F7’ or something like that to get into BIOS settings). When you’ve booted off the CD you can either choose to run QNX directly from the CD, which gives you a taster of QNX Neutrino, but to really use it, you’ll want to install it. If your laptop is fairly bog-standard, then QNX should run fine on it.
