The system I am working with demands that our AmPro LB3-486e, running QNX4,
boot up in less than 7 seconds.
Our AmPro board is operating a VGA LCD with touch screen (that’s our
keyboard), a sound card and one of the comm ports. QNX is presently loaded
from a compact flash card.
Where might I find documentation regarding tips for speeding the QNX4 boot
process?
Maybe it is possible to burn QNX4 and our program into a memory device
residing on the AmPro boards address bus. This would provide a faster boot
process since memory would already be loaded; don’t have to get QNX4 and
our program off the compact flash card.
