I can’t run the IDE as root, but the resource manager needs to be run as
root to attach. I want to step through the io_write.
Any Suggestions?
Thanks

Can’t you just make the resource manager setuid-root?

I found a solution for anyone else who might have this problem.
Just start qconn as root and then debug remote application (actually local
host).
Works great.

Well, I tried in vain to implement this senerio. I started the qconn with
root and could see that local-host is connected, but I could not debug
resource manager locally. It always says that I don’t have the permission.
Please advise and offer suggestions.
