Analogous tool to wlib

Hi, there.

I was wondering what the equivalent means of making a static library under
QNX6. In QNX4, I have in a Makefile for a library:

wlib -b mylib.lib -+ obj

This would add obj.o (which contained various functions) and added them to
mylib.lib.

Since I am trying to port my stuff from QNX4 to QNX6, I would like to know
how I can do the same thing.

Note: I don’t want to use ar ( for the same reason I didn’t want to use ar
under QNX4 ).

Thanks in advance.

You are looking to use the “ar” tool. Running “ar --help” should get you going.

Why wouldn’t you want to use ar?

Thanks, Chris and Colin.

Eh, I guess I had heard that wlib was the preferred tool, but I think I was
mistaken/confused. I recall now that the comparison was not between wlib
and ar, but between wlib and using the cc command to make a library under
QNX4.

Anyways, thanks for the help.
