also
the installation of eclipse :frowning: … there must something be wrong with
the package management by ‘qnxinstall’

How can I re-install Eclipse ??

Hi Armin,

Which version are you working with self hosted or Windows hosted ?
Which developement targets did you have installed other than MIPS, SH and
ARM?
Which host target did you have installed ?

Brenda

Hi Armin,

Have you tried running “eclipse” from command line - does it launch the IDE
that way. There was known problems with the launch menus configuration
gettting messed up.

Let me know if your able to run it from command line.

Brenda

No … it doesn’t run from the command line.

Here is the whole story: after recognizing that I checked with
‘qnxinstall’ if eclipse is still listed as installed application … but
it wasn’t listed at all.

So I removed all lines refering to eclipse from the ‘packages’ file and
saw eclipse then as a de-activated application. In that state it was
only possible to remove eclipse. I did it in the hope to see eclipse
listed then in the section of new (installable) software … but it
increased just my desaster

Am I simply lost?

No ideas how to solve that problem?

Is the PE installation only a one-shut installation??

Well … in the meantime I have to use ‘workspace’
