The Eclipse website lists all available VMS
http://download.eclipse.org/downloads/drops/R-2.0.1-200208291828/java-runtim
es.html

After spending some time on this site the reference to J9 seems to have
disappeared.
I’ll investigate this … thanks for bringing it to our attention.

Hi
In future, QNX will be responsible for distributing the j9 vm. IBM pulled
this information from their website a littler earlier than we were ready
for.
We are in the process of making the j9 VM available.
Initially, check the www.eclipse.org/cdt website for news. We will let
everyone know there and in the cdt-dev newsgroups as soon as we have
something available.

Sorry for the frustrations in the meantime.

Thanks Mr.Judy for the info…Yeah it was very frustrating…After
installing IBM WebSphere5 Device Developer…I found a QNX folder in the
‘Runtimes Directory’…Can I just copy the folder to the Eclipse Install
Directory on QNX…If so which directory should I copy and where to copy?

Hello,

if it is a *.tar.gz file you should unzip the file with gunzip and
install the JRE to /usr/eclipse so later you should have the JRE in
/usr/eclipse/ive

Dieter Schemmelmann

Thank You.But it is not a tar.gz file. All that installation has is a
‘runtimes’ folder under which there are sub-folders for different platforms
and each platform folder has ‘common’ & ‘x86’ folders.Strangely all other
platform folders except the QNX, have the ‘bin’ & ‘lib’ directories holding
all the executables & libraries.I am tired of geting J9 for QNX.Can you tell
me another source of getting it.

After much further investigation it would seem that IBM has only made their
target plugins available from this website.
There is currently no host J9 VM downloads available from the IBM website
… unless I missed something.
It is bundled with several of their projects.

QNX is in the process of making a J9 VM available sometime over the next
couple of months.

Unfortunately, I do not see a quick solution to getting a copy of the J9 VM
quicky.

Sorry
