Phindows

Hey,

I was wondering if Phindows works with QRTP V 6.0. I have seen several
posts
about video bugs and what not and some about it not working so who is
right???
I have tried my Phindows and the entries in the inetd.conf file and the
services
file look right but there is no phrelay file in /etc/config and Phindows
gives me
an error message right away saying it cannot connect to the IP address.

Thanks…

Normally, you don’t have to do anything, except starting inetd.
To do that, just create a /etc/rc.d/rc.local file (with +x permission as
rc.sysinit test it) and include ‘inetd’ command in it.
To test phindows without rebooting, just launch inetd from a root shell.

That right that there is some problems with phrelay, but phindows is really
useable with qrtp.

That did the trick. It didn’t even occur to me that inetd was not running.
I
checked the rc.sysinit file and the inetd lines are commented out so I’m
wondering why that is…I suppose its not ‘really’ needed on a stand alone
‘free for non-commercial use’ system but…

There are some major video bugs using phindows though. If you resize
phindows the QRTP desktop gets totally out of wack. I have 1600x1200
in Win98 and when I maximize phindows QNX 4.25 resizes fine but all
sorts of chunks appear in QRTP…Oh well, patch B (v 7.0??) is on its
way…

Thanks…
