I have installed some applications on QNX, some working fine, but others
need libs…, example:
Midnight Commander: libglib-1.2.so.0
xpdf: libXpm.so.4
gwget: libgtk-1.2.so.0
Gimp: i don´t know whats happen, but i need gcc for now…
I need your help please!!!

for the others, download the following packages:

Thanks for your help, i have now downloaded these libraries. I have
downloaded the latest QNX from the web, with a surprise (surprise?), to
upgrade to the latest version the installer tell me to UNINSTALL the
previous QNX version…, and i dont understand this…, no problem!, deleted
and upgraded…
My modem (US Robotics Sporster 56k ISA) don´t work after trying all help
received…, its a PNP modem but configured in com2 (ser2) with jumpers
without pnp enabled. In Windows, Linux Suse, work fine, also i call my modem
from DOS!!!, but QNX nothing.
For this reason i don´t have the www download facilities from the package
installer, and don´t know exactly what i need…, for example trying to
install Gimp (i love the Gimp!) the system need GCC to compile it…
No modem and not a credit card to obtain the QNX CD…, but the news are a
great solution with peple like you helping me!!!, tnx!
All i need is learning more English, it´s difficult to me to say what i
like…

What exactly have you downoladed? You only need the next files from
http://packages.qnx.com/repository2/ :
qnx-update-6.1.qpk (size 23944048)
qnx-update-6.1.qpm (size 4102)
repository.qpm
index
/lic/license.txt
in order to upgrade QNX RTP from 6.0 to 6.1

If you have downloaded qnxrtp.iso and have burned the CD you have got all
to install GCC. Just install “C/C++ Toolset” from CD repository. You will
able to recompile any open source program.
