QNX6.1 & Phindows

I have just installed QNX 6.1 and I have a problem running it over Phindows.
Phindows starts normally, I get a login screen, and I get the normal UI. But
after a few
mouse clicks (starting some applications, clicking buttons) the system
hangs, while the
console is still alive. Phrelay is also still running.

Any ideas about that problem?

I don’t know what your problem might be, but I can confirm that Phindows
1.20 works for us with QNX 6.1. There are some issues with the display from
Voyager and Help, but nothing like you describe.

I use the same setup. It works fine most of the time, but sometimes
Phindows freezes and does not recover. This seems to be related
to when I move/resize windows and similar event dense activity.
Really annoying since I often have jed editors open and I haven’t found
a way to regain control over the terminal windows to save unsaved work
(is this possible?). I tried to PhDitto the still active Photon session, but only
got black terminal windows.

Hello Tom

This problem was fixed yesterday. It will be in the next release of Phindows.

Thanks

So…will licensed users of Phindows 1.20 be able to upgrade at a
reasonable price (how about “free”) so Phindows works with our
QNX 6.1 development?

Sorry I must make a correction. As someone was so gracious to point out to me, the problem
actually existed in phrelay so you do not have to upgrade your phindows if you don’t want
to but you will have to upgrade your phrelay when we release it.

Thanks
Rodney
