Samba error

I have installed the 2.0.7 version of Samba that is available on QNX’s ftp
site, closely following the instructions given for creating a minimal
configuration. However, I am having a problem getting smbd to run on RTP
6.1. I am attempting to use the inetd setup and after tracking down a
couple of typos I’m left with the following error when attempting to start
smbd:

set_maxfiles: getrlimit (1) for RLIMIT_NOFILE failed with error invalid
argument

Get_Hostbyname: Unknown host master

After which nmbd exits.

My network is mixed RTP embedded systems and Windows XP, 2000, 98, 95, NT
Server 4.0. Any tips appreciated, I’ve never messed with Samba before.

This can be ignored.

Does you machine has it’s own entry in /etc/host?

You might want to try 2.2.?
