How about Macon, France. Nice looking place in the French Alps (55km
from Geneva). What’s cool about it ? The airports identifier is (you
guessed it) QNX. Ones baggage would be tagged (in my case) from LAX to
QNX (nope there is no LNX, WRS, VXW, or WCE - I checked

At one point I asked about where and when the next conference
would be, and I was told that there are no plans. Instead there
would be more regional events, but no more big QNX conferences.

Oups, I think there is a mistake somewhere!
The Macon I know is not in the French Alps and not at 55 km from Geneva.
Macon is in ‘Saone et Loire’ at 152 km from Geneva and it’s not a so nice
looking place.
I didn’t find any Macon around Geneva. Could you give more infos.
If you are looking for a very nice place near Geneva, why not Annecy in
Savoie at 43 km from Geneva.

No more big QNX conferences ?!?!?!? If that’s true that would
be very very disappointing. It’s true that from a business point
of view these conferences didn’t bring a dime in. But I consider
meeting other fellow QNX user/programmer and QNX staffer
worth every penny.

The Macon I happened across, is 55km from Geneva, however, this distance
is “as the crow flies” (since it was given by an aviator - I did check
on mapquest, and it does appear to be 55 km in a straight line from
Geneva - actually probably closer to 60km). I do see Annecy on the map
and it is definately closer to Geneva than Macon (less than 30km) It
appears also to be about 30km north of Lyon. I assumed that it was in
(or near) the French Alps due to it’s proximity to the Swiss border (I
am probably wrong). I have never been to the area so your probably
correct.

Is it’s airport identifier QNX ? (the main thrust of the post was to
point out the airport identifier
