Linux binary compatibility in LynxOS 4.0 - what ever happend to that in QNX?

Jens

I hear Lynx does it by integrating pieces of Linux kernel into theirs,
rather than by lxrun. That can give you quite a bit of compatibility,
perhaps enough to run drivers even. The lxrun solution only works for ‘pure’
applications, not using any kernel interfaces. Anyway, to use Linux binaries
you need to bring in half of that N Gig of Linux installation (libraries).

QNX does not work on lxrun anymore, so if it will ever work under QNX
eventually, it is because someone ported it. That work is sort of half-way
through and who knows, it might work one day.

IMHO … it would be better to work on source code compatibility.
The key for it could be gtk++ and/or Qt for photon … at API level!

Well if that is better, why don’t you do that Armin
And good luck with using that to get Acrobat working…

Well … that’s a source of fun for the Photon fans

Oh … thanks
