I’m having trouble setting up an HP 712C printer under QNX 4.25 and Photon
1.14
As I follow the instructions in the “Printing Support Printer installation
and configuration” section of the online docs, I get to the point where the
docs suggest that I type:
cat >/dev/par
Hello, this is some text.
Ctl-L
Ctl-D
Ctl-C
And nothing prints. (I am issuing control characters)
I can setup this printer and print stuff to it under Window$ without a
hitch.
I move the cable over to my QNX box and follow the instructions in the docs,
and NOTHING happens.
The current configuration for my printer port is: 378/IRQ7 and SPP (standard
Printer Port). I’ve tried the EPP configuration and I’ve tried moving the
port base address to 278. None of this has made the slightest difference.
Any help would be appreciated.
