Hi.
I have got a QNX 4/Photon 1.14 (latest versions of all the software) node
here, which has started to develop a problem with dead mouse/keyboard (not
responding, mouse doesn’t move, can’t exit photon with hotkey combination).
How do I track the cause of the problem down? It looks like Input is still
running when I do a ‘sin’ from another node.
I can do a ‘sin’ from another node, so the system seems to be alive. I can
slay Photon from a remote node. After that I can restart Photon from the
shell. The keyboard and mouse are okay when I get back to Photon (with no
reboot).
Can I restart Input on this node from another node without having to bring
Photon down? How?
TIA

Hi Augie,
I have a couple of questions

Does this problem occur after the system is booted or after running for a
while?
If it takes a while is there an average time that this runs before it gets
to the state where the mouse and keyboard is dead?

What state is the Input in when you run the sin command?

Do you have another system the problem can be reproduced on ?

You can use inputtrap start - this will detect the input devices and start
the Input Manager. It will use the configuration file found /etc/config/trap/input.node#

Hope this helps
