phindows font problem

Hi,

I think I run into a new phindows font problem (because I searched qnx
support and also this newsgroup but didn’t find a matching hint).
If I connect to my qnx box and start a new photon session al is ok.
If I connect to a running session some fonts (courier) are displayed
others (helvetica) not.
Using qnx 4.25, photon1.13/1.14, phindows 1.20.

Help urgently needed, because we sold phindows as service application to
our qnx boxes.

TIA

addendum:

tried ped: it shows both fonts.
I have a small app showing the clock, which I could send.

Hi,

don’t bother with my problem.
I got it, but changed a lot of things, so I have to go backwards to
clarify which it was.
I will post my results later.

Hi,

deinstalling Swiss 721 BT gives me text in phindows back.
Why?
The app tries to display text in “helv19” which isn’t there, so
fontmapping is done.
I think if I deinstall Swiss 721, the font goes back to helv18 or
something other. In photon it looks a little bit ugly and a litlle bit
smaller.
I tried copying the latin.pfr (which containes the swiss font) to the
\usr\photon\font folder of my windows box: nothing changed.
I also installed a “Swiss 721 BT” to windows: nothing changed.
I’m confused abaout that. What is my photon or windows setup missing?
Clearification appreciated.
Help to see the text in phindows more appreciated.

Hello Friedhelm

This is a known problem. The problem is that we are not allowed to transmit the
pfr fonts and copying the file over wont help. The next version of Phindows allows
you to setup font mappings so it should take of this problem.

Thanks
