Matrox G450

Hi,

Installing QNX 4 (latest May 2001CD) on a PC with a Matrox G450
graphics card leads to serious problems: The installation program
freezes when trying to probe for video modes. If installation is done
without video probing, ph -s crashes the machine afterwards.

Is there any solution to this, short of changing the graphics card?

Your Video Card is not supported under QNX 4. Please consult the
QNX Supported Hardware web pages to get a list of supported video cards.

Hi Fabrizio,

Install without probing for video modes. Then on initial
reboot into text mode, try to edit the /qnx4/graphics/trappers/crttrap.list
file and comment out the matbios.trap line (change to #matbios.trap)
so the Matrox drivers to not get detected. Then try to retrap
the video modes by doing: crttrap clear, followed by crttrap trap
and then restart Photon. This will get the card going using the flat drivers.
