Where to get the mkkbd utility

Hi !
I have really big problem with QNX 6.1. There is no mkkbd utility on the CD.
I think it is included only with QNX 4.X. This small program is very
important to me because I have to compile my own keymap (standard polish
keymap doesn’t work correctly).
May I ask for sending me this utility ?
I’ll be very thankfull for help.

I have 105 key (or 104 - I have to count them one more time :wink:) ) keyboard.
I want to write polish signs with the right key. But it doesn’t work
at all. When I press ALT key I can’t get any letter. And when I turn on
polish keyboard mapping there are problems with some other keys: for example
“—” gives “+++”. I tried typing under ped, Mozilla and terminal.
So I wanted to build my keymap - the same I did under Linux and it works
fine :slight_smile: Is there eny way to compile my keymap ?
Is there any way to get the scan codes for my keyboard’s keys. Under Linux
and Xwindows there is xev program wchich shows scan code of the actually
pressed key. Is there something like this for QNX ?

Hey Paul

You can get scan codes from Photon key events (key_scan in
PhKeyEvent_t). You just needs to write a tiny an app that has a raw
or filter callback to display the scan codes.

There is a PR concerning the fact that mkkbd is not in RTP.

So what should I do at this moment ? Having working keymap is very important
to me. I think I can make it but I need this mkkbd.utility There isn’t
really any way to get this small program ?

someone is looking at the PR nd as soon as something becomes available
