I am trying to connect QNX4 from MSWindows using Phindows 2.0 Beta.
There is Photon 1.14 on QNX4. I have added arial ttf to Photon
and I am running an application which uses the ttf fonts and works
well on QNX. However in Phindows I have no characters at all.
If I erase ttf from Photon on QNX, Phindows works and the arial
font is replaced by Helvetica. But I would like to use ttf
on from QNX GUI. Can somebody advice me what to do ?
Is there a hint to use ttf font under Phindows, or there is
a possibility to use for them another fontdir file ?

afaik phindows [even newer 2.0 beta] dosn’t support ttf fonts. so no way…

I checked with the developer and phindows only supports
the .phf fonts so unfortunately ttf fonts will not work.
In phindows, the Helvetica font is enough for me.
But, I am able to get Helvetica in Phindows only if I erase
ttf fonts from Photon. I dislike to do it. I am looking for
a possibility to use e.g. font substitution valid for Phindows
only, or another trick.

It is more of a phrelay and phindows limitation… Instead of trying to
port all the font code to windows for phindows it was easier to add the
fixes/upgrades to the phrelay.
As for the phrelay it is not part of any offical beta. An exact timeline
has not been worked out for testing at this time.
