Tab stops in PtMultitext again

Hi,

there is a thread about ‘Tab stops in PtMultitext’ initiated by Markus
jauslin and discussed last year.
I came into the same problems and found this thread.
Was there any solution?

Answer appreciated.

Hi Friedhelm,

There was a problem report submitted for this. The problem is arising
from how the font extends are being calculated and rendered for strings
and individual characters. A solution is still being worked on to
minimize this effect and will be available in a future update.

Regards
Brenda

Hi Brenda

Is this the same problem as using tab stops in ped? I thought that this was
already fixed in the soon to be released 6.2 (formally fixed in the 6.1.1
release).

Hi Brenda,

when will that be?
Markus reported the problem nine months ago.
In that time great things can develop ; )
I have to find a solution within next two weeks.
So what about hacking the 6.2 fix into a 1.x beta?

Greetings

Hi Friedhelm,

There isn’t a set time line for the update. Unfortunately it isn’t as
simple as moving the fix back. It requires major reworking of a number
of components and not just the multitext widget. If it is major
priority you can contact your sales rep to see about customer
engineering possibilities.

Brenda
