I have an app whose’s window is 800x600.
I used snapshot to create a *.phs file.
I then tried to use Pp.bmp create a *.bmp file but it is huge. ‘pv’ claims
the image is 1912x2550.
I tried Pp.bmp -or94 which generates a bmp that is 599x799 and
I tried Pp.bmp -or95 which generates a bmp that is 807x605.
Why is it so difficult to generate a *.bmp file that is 800x600 from an app
that is 800x600?
What’s the magic that I’m missing?
The magic is here:
Modify your /usr/photon/print/printers file, section [BMP Spool File], line Filter = Pp.bmp to
Filter = Pp.bmp -oS-1x-1 ( I using default PaperSize=8500x11000 ).
For more information type: use Pp.bmp
Majo.

Well I did read the usage msg before I asked the question.
I tried what you suggested and of course it worked like a champ. But I
would NEVER have guessed that that was what I was supposed to do from that
usage message. Now that I tried it, it makes sense. But that usage message
needs to be rewritten.
Thanks.

This seems to be one of the best kept secrets of QNX/Photon.
It is only told from one old guru to another by mouth
… and sometimes you can find this kind of information in these
newsgroups as well
