Phindows

Hi,

We wish to access an application program developed using Photon from
Windows Desktop. Our QNX machine and Windows machine are connected on an
ethernet network. We have configured TCP/IP for both the machines. Ping
works fine and both the machines are able to see each other. We installed
Phindows 1.12 on Windows machine but could not access Photon of our QNX
machine. Configurations required in /etc/services appear to be perfect…
What could be the problem? How to get Phindows working? Please help…

Regards,
Krupa

Hi Krupa,
I have the following in /etc/inetd.conf
phrelay stream tcp nowait root /qnx4/photon/bin/phrelay phrelay -D
/log/phrelay

in /etc/services
phrelay 4768/tcp

This runs fine. If you want to start particular services then configure
the /etc/config/phrelay.{node} file. See help docs

I start phindows with the following

C:\usr\photon\phindows.exe -t(IP Address)

This gives me a photon login prompt.

Tried to download Phindows 1.20 but could not. We had entered the serial
number and passwd observed on original disk of Phindows 1.12. They were not
detected as valid…
