QNX RTP 6.2 Review

A review of QNX RTP 6.2 is available on OSNews. The review is not what one
would describe as “in depth”.

Rather unpleasant, and unexpected, was the statement, by the reviewer, that
QNX will not longer offer PhAB or Real Player as part of RTP. Does anyone
know if this is true?

I think we should wait for some word of QNX, or even better, the actual

release.

It was not really clear to me what OSNews was actually reviewing, i.e. a
beta copy, or
a pre-release?

I think a pretty stable release is what I would like most, with the 6.1.x
known bugs out
of the way and some (small) new features/enhancements.

Leon.

What I read into his statement was that PhAB and Real Player won’t be
available when 6.2 is released. Not that this makes much sense either.

You’ll find this somewhere in that site:

“phAB is being overhaul to accomodate the IBM Eclipse project. I have
forgotten if it’s phAB that will become a plug-in for the Eclipse tools
or the other way around”
