Feeling left out because you are in North America?
Chris, I don’t think that QNXers in Africa, Asia and Australia are
feeling left out because of the first QNX-Night was in Europe…
and I hope that similar events will be organized on all continents.
Also I think that the monthly “Ottawa QNX User’s Group” meeting which
is organized from Rob is a good idea which should be copied for
regions where are located many QNXers !
FYI, also NA guys found the way to Europe to join the world’s
biggest Embedded Systems Fair/Conference as well as the first
QNX-Night …
[ES2002 fair & conference in Nuremberg was opened every day
9:00 h - 17:00 h, much more exhibitors than in SF… etc.]
Are you aware that the time for a flight to Europe is often shorter
and even more inexpensive than a long distance flight inside of NA??
Come to the QNX Night
in San Franciso! Details (as they are today) have been posted to
http://www.qnxzone.com/> .
When you call the SF meeting “QNX-Night”, what about to join the
QNX-Night page which is created for hosting announcements, pictures
and reports of international or local community events ?
I hope it will be no problem for you that the QNX-night.com page is
not hosted in NA
Basically, this is an unoffical gathering of QNX
developers, users, customers, et al on the Thursday night of the Embedded
Systems Conference in San Francisco (March 14th, 2002).
Chris, you should check out in advance what other Parties, e.g.
Motorola’s “Night Fever Attendee Reception” are at the fair ground
the same day. We regognized too late in Nuremberg that all Parties
on the fairground have been on the 2nd evening. For that reason we
have moved the European QNX-Night 2003 to the first evening of the
fair/confernce to give more QNXers a chance to join.
BTW, did you ever think about that all who are not living in NA are
really feeling left out reg. the “international” QNX Conferences which
take place only in NA ??
