Is the Radeon 8500 compatibly with the current version of devg-radeon.so?
And if so how would i get it to work?

This newsgroup really isn’t the correct news group for this type
of question. It is more suited for the installation or os newsgroup.
However, you can try to add your PCI device ID to:
/etc/system/enum/devices/graphics
once you have done this reboot your system and see if it detects the
card.
Also make certain that you are running the latest version of the OS
